Description: This wonderful object is a back adornment from Rossel Island. Although it has a very similar appearance to Bagi from Sudest Island it, in fact, has a completely different use. It is not a currency but a prestige adornment. Identical adornments can be seen being worn on the inside cover of Harry Beran’s book entitled Massim. All the materials are non-European and it is completely intact.
